2026 LEAK DETECTION NOTIFICATION

Dear Foothills Natural Gas Co-op Members,
This notification is being forward to all our urban subdivision customers to advise the property owners that Foothills Natural Gas Co-op has contracted the services of Gas Recon to conduct a leak detection survey of the right-of-way on our behalf.
Gas Recon will be conducting the survey from Mid-August to early September 2026. The survey team from Gas Recon will need access to all urban properties to complete this survey.
This survey is a provincially mandated compliance requirement for our annual operations license renewal with Rural Utilities. The compliance requirement determines that all urban classification and gas service provided by Foothills Natural Gas Co-op Ltd. must have a leak detection completed once every three years. Foothills’ last survey took place during the summer of 2023.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requirements for the allowance of access to your property in conjunction with this survey, please contact our office and speak to one of our administrators. Alternatively, you can send an email with your questions, concerns, or access requirements, our office will respond accordingly.
